The old people are senile. I am also not doing so well either(and i don't need a doctor to tell me). We are snowed in, and i kind of feel like we wouldn't be if not for all the begging and pleading for me not to plow the driveway yesterday until the snow stopped. Sadly my makeshift plow does not sustain the weight of 6+ inches of snow with crust on top, and now we don't have a way to plow the driveway. i feel like there is a pattern here. The other day mom got on my case again about "taking over her house". Just last week she had been so proud about my knitting for Ukraine project. Now, i guess she wants me to go purify beeswax in a cold and dirty barn? I am not sure how i will keep my pipes from freezing this coming week, since it is forecast to go down into the low single digits. I had a nice fire going last night, and it wasn't even that cold and i briefly froze my cold water pipe, however I was able to get it flowing again by running hot water for a while. Water is good this morning, however tonight it is supposed to get down to 0 F, so who knows what will happen. i opened all my cabinet doors and pulled my dishwasher forward - maybe it will help. Do they like to see me suffer? why is the tractor always broken? i am busy with my own work, and dad says he will take care of something, and then it doesn't get done. i spent significant time and money(for a humble guy like myself) building this DIY plow. It worked! I plowed snow with it! i was planning to keep it for a long while, and had sealed it with linseed oil, and was planning to do some minor repair/upgrades this Spring. now it is in pieces. I guess now i will have to take the extra time to build it from scratch again. It would be nice to have someone on my team for a change. I hope they don't count this against me when it comes time for my review(i'm sure they will). BTW, Federal forces murdered 2 innocent people in Minnesota this month. i wonder how this will all turn out? p.s. it's kind of hard to do anything when you are snowed in. also, thick snow with crust on top is very hard to shovel.
