it's too bad signup seems broken; i wanted to post a comment, and perhaps also start a channel - i have already decided YT is not for me(if i ever decide to get into video content).

edit#2(29th): apparently they are having some technical difficulties with the auto-verification. it looks like dave is being a hero and sending verifications manually for now. it's certainly not the most efficient method, but i'm verified now.
